Today is my first day walking along the Sea of Japan.
I’ve finally crossed the mountains and reached the back side of Japan—the coastline now unfolding ahead of me. It feels like stepping into a new chapter of this journey.
Today also marks a milestone: I’ve walked a little more than halfway across Japan.
