徒歩で日本縦断の旅 Walking Across Japan 1
I arrived in Kagoshima, and my journey across Japan officially began.
One rule I had set for the journey was simple: I would walk only, without using any transportation, and always continue from the exact place where I had stopped.
But if I came across an art museum, a natural history museum, a library, or ancient ruins along the way, I would visit.
While looking at the map, I found an art museum in Kagoshima. I was excited and went straight there.
Inside, I found a small reading corner filled with art books.
I quickly entered my comfort zone.
I looked through the books for the entire afternoon, until the museum was about to close.
While I was there, I met the museum staff and the director.
After hearing that I was beginning a journey on foot across Japan, the director invited me to got to her teacher’s workspace and museum the next day.
I went with the director without knowing what to expect.
Inside the museum there were filled with large sculptures. Some of them reminded me of Rodin.
I stood there quietly and looked around.
The atmosphere of the place was beautiful.

鹿児島に到着し、徒歩で日本を縦断する旅が正式に始まった。
この旅で自分に決めていたルールは、とてもシンプルだった。歩くことだけ。交通機関は使わず、必ず前に止まった場所からまた歩き始めること。
ただし、道中で美術館、自然史博物館、図書館、古代遺跡を見つけたら、そこには立ち寄ることにしていた。
地図を見ていると、鹿児島に美術館があることを知った。嬉しくなって、すぐにそこへ向かった。
館内には、小さな読書スペースがあり、たくさんの美術書が並んでいた。
すぐに自分の居心地のいい場所に入っていった。
その午後はずっと本を眺めていて、気づけば閉館の時間が近づいていた。
そこで、美術館のスタッフと館長に出会った。
僕がこれから徒歩で日本を縦断する旅を始めると聞くと、館長は翌日、館長の先生のアトリエ兼美術館へ案内してくれることになった。
何があるのかも分からないまま、僕は館長について行った。
美術館の中には、大きな彫刻作品がいくつも並んでいた。
そのいくつかは、ロダンを思い出させた。
僕は静かに立ち、その場所を見回した。
その場所の空気感がとても美しかった。

我抵達鹿兒島，我的徒步日本縱斷之旅也正式開始了。
我為這趟旅程定下的一條規則很簡單：只靠步行，不使用任何交通工具，並且每一次都要從上次停下的地方繼續走。
但如果沿途遇到美術館、自然史博物館、圖書館，或古代遺跡，我就會進去參觀。
看地圖時，我在鹿兒島發現了一座美術館。我很興奮，便直接去了那裡。
館內有一個小小的閱讀角落，裡面放滿了藝術書籍。
我很快就進入了自己的舒適圈。
整個下午，我都在翻看那些書，直到美術館快要閉館為止。
在那裡，我遇見了美術館的工作人員和館長。
聽說我正要開始徒步縱斷日本之後，館長邀請我隔天去參觀館長老師的工作室兼美術館。
我不知道會看到什麼，就這樣跟著館長去了。
美術館裡放滿了大型雕塑。
其中有些作品讓我想起了羅丹。
我安靜地站在那裡，環顧四周。
這裡的氛圍很美。
